Welcome to Kindergarten!

A little about me.  My name is Tionna Bahill. I am known as Mrs. Tionna by our students.
I grew up in sunny Tucson, Arizona. Where I lived for 28 years!
I attended Northern Arizona University, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (K-8) with minors in Chemistry and Biology and  Ed. Specialties in Special Education and Structured English Immersion in 2006.
In 2006-2007 I taught a First Grade self contained GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) classroom.
In 2009, I received my Master of Education in Early Childhood Education with Ed specialties in Reading and Writing.
My husband and I moved to New Hampshire and I began teaching Kindergarten at Mount Saint Mary Academy in 2009. I taught Kindergarten for 3 years.
I am a blessed mother of two.
Our son, Xander was born in 2011 and at the end of the school year, 2012, I decided to take a break from teaching to raise my family. Our daughter, Eliana was born in 2014.
In 2017, I was called back to the classroom to teach Pre-kindergarten at Mount Saint Mary Academy and blessed to work along side of the wonderful Mrs. Jaime Lewandowski.
The summer of 2018, I once again became a Kindergarten teacher at Mount Saint Mary Academy.  Which is where I am very blessed to be.  I love my job, I love this school and I love this community.
When I am not teaching,  you can find me on the soccer field, football field, or dance studio enjoying my children.

Weekly Update

There are many things we are thankful for let us tell you what they are. We're thankful for our food. We're thankful for our friends. We're thankful for our families and we're thankful to be Kindergarten.

Thank you for making our Thanksgiving Prayer Service such a wonderful celebration full of all God's blessings.

This week our centers focus was on beginning and ending sounds we hear in consonant vowel consonant words .

We  also discussed what it means to be a friend, and used our mini Fox erasers finding the beginning and ending sounds in words. We made AB, AAB, ABC and ABB patterns.

In our Big Ideas Math, we have been focusing on recognizing and writing #'s 0-5, as well as representing 0-5 using manipulatives and determining whether groups are greater, less than or equal.

Our Language Arts focus reviewed letters A-F and worked on breaking apart words into sounds.

In Science, we will be doing our pumpkin experiments!

If I did not give you your child's Christmas line during Conferences, please look for it it in your child's folder, Monday! Yes, I am already thinking Christmas 😅

We have also been given the green light for a Fundraiser! Kindergarten (and volunteers) will be making Jumbo Gingerbread Cookies.

I am hoping we can earn enough proceeds to go towards a field trip and scholarship fund! The children would be able to take pride knowing that they funded their own field trip and contributed in helping others attend our amazing school! Of course, we will need volunteers to make this happen. We would appreciate any and all support that you can give. I will be sending out a sign up Genius as soon as I have a plan!
